Event History

SSPI’s debut production, The Ride of a Lifetime, was an original play written and produced by Kisstrin Cozier. It ran in February of 2014 at San Ramon Elementary School. The Ride of a Lifetime is the story of Charlie, boy genius (played by Qiana Hester) and his friends as they traveled through time kidnapping President Abraham Lincoln and President John F. Kennedy so that they could introduce them to each other, speed the Civil Rights movement along and change the world for the better!

In July of 2014 SSPI hosted the Young Americans for their first annual summer camp at Sinaloa Middle School. The camp was a week long. Our community home–stayed 45 Young Americans and we had Novato tappin’ their toes & singing along to the YA’s beat all week! The camp’s highlight were the two grand finale shows performed on the camp’s final day. Over 400 people filled the audiences of both shows! Way to go Novato!

In December of 2014 SSPI produced the Holiday Sing! San Ramon Elementary School children sang classic Christmas & Hanukah songs. They learned their music in a whirlwind two week long after school workshop singing along to a live piano accompanist. The winter storms threatened to cancel the show as NUSD closed all schools on our original show day due to severe weather. However the show must go on! … and it did one week later. There’s nothing like children singing holiday songs to get everyone into the holiday spirit!
