Meet the Board

Kisstrin CozierKisstrin Cozier

Kisstrin is the Incorporator and Founder of Shining Star Productions Incorporated (SSPI).  She is currently serving as the organization’s  Executive Director. A Northern California native, she has an AA degree with an emphasis in Theater & Voice from Santa Rosa Junior College. While at SRJC Kisstrin was very active in their choral and theatre programs. She also stage managed for Masque Unit Children’s Theatre of Marin.  After SRJC she moved to LA.

Some of Kisstrin’s film, television and theater credits include CBS/Bell-Phillip TV Productions’ “The Bold and the Beautiful”, Lifetime Television’s “Moms of a Lifetime”, ABC/Triage Entertainment’s “Disney’s 101 Dalmatians, A Canine Tale”, as well as industrials for B of A, Pac Bell and Xerox and she was a prop master at the American Conservatory of Performing Arts in Pasadena, CA.

Upon returning to Marin County, she began her family, produced school talent shows, wrote and produced original children’s skits/plays, developed performing arts children’s summer camps and formed SSPI. She is a member of Novato Community Television (NCTV), serves on many community committees and is an animal lover. It is her vision to bring highly entertaining, original, low cost, therapeutic and  empowering theatrical productions to youth (and adults) of her community. Kisstrin is a resident of Marin County, CA.


Brooke Glineur

Brooke Glineur

Brooke serves as SSPI’s Executive Secretary. Brooke is a Marin County native, having grown up in Mill Valley and Novato where she often enjoyed exploring the beauty and nature around her. As an adult, she went to College of Marin, San Francisco City College, and San Francisco State where she studied Hotel and Restaurant Management. After working over ten years as a chef in the restaurant industry, she changed career paths and started her own jewelry design business which she runs with her husband, Patrick. Brooke has two children who attend middle school here in Novato. Brooke enjoys listening to live music, doing creative and artistic projects, and taking hikes.

 

 

 

 


Denise Rooke

Denise is the sole proprietor of Independent Fiduciary Services.  She has lived throughout the United States, with a good portion of her life having been spent in Northern California.  She has enjoyed giving back to the community by serving on another non-profit for many years, providing pro bono work to some of her clients and participating in various youth organizations.  A former resident of Novato, she moved to Petaluma to a property with a few acres where she is learning about sustainable living.   Between them, she and her husband have 5 beautiful children – three here in the Bay Area and two in England. 

 

 

 


Savannah Brown

Savannah is a Marin County local who, prior to joining the board, had been volunteering with Shining Star Productions Inc. since the very beginning. She has worked with, and even participated in, programming such as Singing Servers, the Young Americans summer camp, SSPI Improv Workshops, and more! As a child and teenager, she participated in the performing arts through school choirs and show choirs as well as outside camps, workshops, and dance classes.

Savannah is serving as a board member from a distance while she pursues her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. She will be receiving her B.S. in Chemistry from California Polytechnic State University in June 2020. Following her graduation from Cal Poly, she will begin to work towards a M.S. in Forensic Science at the University of New Haven, CT.


Margaret Poindexter

Margaret is a 20-year ABC/SF broadcast news veteran who, in recent years, has combined her media experience with her passion for helping others with opportunities to realize their dreams.  She is “connector” specialist, and a highly valued catalyst for helping independent documentaries focused on Arts, Environmental and Social Justice, and Climate Change be seen in theaters and classrooms across the globe. Margaret has a unique ability to inspire non profits and corporate leaders to bring both human and media resources together to help people of all ages live better lives and improve our world. 

She began her career in journalism at ABC Television’s KGO-TV, San Francisco as a college intern while attending USF.  She is an acclaimed Nature Photographer, celebrated for her ability to document the human condition in the natural world  in unique, eye popping ways. Margaret has two adult age sons., and currently lives in Bel Marin Keys, CA
